There are SO many things to love about The McGranahan Barn in Yukon, Oklahoma. In fact, it was recently named So6ix Magazine’s #1 Venue of 2019! We’re sharing 4 reasons why you’ll love getting married at The McGranahan Barn.
McGranahan Barn is owned by the dearest family you’ll ever meet. Steve and Mareé Lunsford along with Mareé’s parents, Aimeé and Robert Treece operate the venue and take excellent care of their couples. Mareé and Steve were married at the venue in 2015 and I had the joy of being their videographer! To this day we share a close friendship and I admire the way they run McGranahan with the same love and care they show to their friends.
You will love the wide open spaces out at McGranahan. You can choose to get married outdoors on the front lawn or behind the barn in the back valley. If you’d like to be married indoors, you can choose the upstairs loft or downstairs. Whichever location you choose, they’re all beautiful because Mareé and Steve always have the grounds in tip-top shape.
The McGranahan’s came to Oklahoma 21 years prior to the Land Run, so this property has been in the family for over 100 years. The family began dreaming of a venue and rebuilt the new barn on the exact same place where the original barn once stood. Watch the full story here. It’s fascinating.
McGranahan Barn is located at the intersection of Piedmont Road and NW Expressway. So, it’s super easy to get to. You’ve probably seen the big barn from the road if you’ve been out that way. The original windmill still stands and can be seen from the road, too. It’s one of my favorite features!
We have a feeling you’ll love The McGranahan Barn as much as we do! To see a beautiful ceremony in the back valley with a fun reception inside the barn, just watch Jordan and Jon’s film below!
