A Charleston Wedding at Lowndes Grove
If Lowndes Grove looks familiar to you, you might be an Outer Banks fan. The big white house is featured on the show as Sarah Cameron’s home. It’s an 18th century estate turned wedding venue, and it’s every bit as beautiful in real life as it is on the TV show.
We were given the opportunity to shoot at Lowndes Grove through involvement in the Bespoke Workshop. We shot for three days straight in and around Charleston, and there wasn’t a single day that we didn’t come back to the Airbnb with sore feet, full memory cards, and happy hearts.
Lowndes Grove Wedding: Bridal Suite
We had the pleasure of shooting Krystina’s bridal prep in this creamy peach room full of windows and the best natural light. I love how the delicate pastel floral details on her gown compliment her bouquet and the room itself. Speaking of the bouquet, the florals for this wedding editorial were designed and arranged by the extremely talented Michaela Mantarian. The concept for the full day was a collaboration between all of the incredible artists and vendors listed at the bottom of this post. All of them are absolutely rockstars.
Lowndes Grove Wedding Details + Tablescape
The handpainted bottle of Veuve, the delicate floral stationery suite, and the ivory accessories all complemented the elegant Southern vibe. Out on the front lawn, under a sprawling tree, the team set up long tables for a formal dinner. Crystal, china, and patterned tablecloths adorned with hand-painted candles and fluffy flowers set the scene for a romantic dinner.
