After saying “I do” in an intimate ceremony on Bainbridge Island, Victoria and John wanted to celebrate their first year of marriage surrounded by all their favorite people. Their one-year anniversary celebration at Gaillardia Country Club was the perfect way to bring everyone together and relive all the joy of their wedding day.
How It All Began
Victoria and John’s story started years ago when a close friend introduced them. For a while, they were just familiar faces at small gatherings, dog birthday parties, and other little moments. Then, during one of her flight attendant layovers in Oklahoma City, that same friend encouraged her to reach out, and everything changed. What began as a fun night out turned into something neither of them expected. From that moment on, they were inseparable.
The Vision Behind Their Celebration
Leslee: What did you love about your venue, decor, and vendors?
Victoria: We were absolutely blown away by our wedding planner, Amber Gates. She brought every vision we had for our special day to life. Not to mention, she had referrals for all of our incredible vendors and our showstopping photography team. Leslee exceeded our expectations in every way possible. She directed us through the entire day with so much professionalism, class, and fun. Leslee and Amber were the absolute best decisions we made for our big day, and I would not change it for the world.
Favorite Memories from the Day
Leslee: What are your favorite memories from your celebration?
Victoria: Our favorite memories include our walkthrough of the event space for the very first time, dancing all through the night, the karaoke room, and our sunset session with Leslee, where she surprised us with a drone to capture some unique shots.
Words of Advice
Leslee: What would you say to couples who are trying to decide who to hire for their photographer?
Victoria: The two most important things we found in our wedding planning process were our planner and our photography team. Those two areas were worth every single penny in helping us have the best possible experience. I would highly recommend Leslee and her team to capture any event. We will be using her whenever possible in the future. We cannot wait to work with her again.
