Dallas Arboretum Engagement Photos | Allie + Griffin
When you schedule an engagement session in the middle of March, you mentally prepare yourself for chilly wind and a few shivers, but we were blessed! This beautiful morning reminded me once again why I love living in the south! Allie and Griffin met us for engagement photos at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens for a bright, romantic session right in the middle of spring blooming season.
Allie and Griffin made it so easy for us. They’re absolutely adorable, for starters. We connected with each other right away and almost had to remind ourselves to stop talking and start shooting. I adore their love story, so I asked Allie to tell me more for this blog!

How did you two meet and fall in love?
Allie: Griffin and I met out at a bar called Harwood Arms in Dallas on May 7th, 2022. We have a mutual friend who introduced us there. It was instant sparks and were immediately inseparable! We went on our first date that very next week and started dating shortly thereafter.
The Rest of the Story
Allie: I have a small yorkie, Oliver. Griffin loved having a dog so much that he decided to get a mini Bernedoodle named Milo in January 2023. Oliver and Milo are the best of friends! After having two dogs we decided to move in together in April of 2023. From there, we then got a house to give our two boys a backyard and moved in on December 15 2023!
On November 26th, 2023, Griffin popped the question while we were out in Kiawah Island! We were surrounded by our families and had such a special weekend there. We could not be more excited to get married on new year’s eve this year!!
Wedding Plans
Allie: Our wedding will be in Oklahoma City on New year’s eve. We will be getting married at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. Our planner is Blair Sims Events, she is amazing! We are going for a moody romantic vibe with a very fun party reception and lots of dancing!
Tell us about your engagement photos at the Dallas Arboretum
Allie: We took our engagement pictures at the Dallas Arboretum. It was our first time going there and it was gorgeous! Leslee was amazing! She made the process easy and so much fun! We can’t wait for more pictures with her on NYE!

I just loved capturing Allie and Griffin at the Dallas Arboretum! I can’t wait for their New Year’s Eve wedding!! It’s sure to be filled with laughter, love, and lots of dancing.
