Hi, I'm Leslee!
So nice to meet you!

Have you ever been to a wedding where the air just vibrates with positivity and absolutely kindness? Well, that was exactly what we felt on Nicole and Matt’s wedding day in Kansas City last November.

Nicole’s dad gives the most touching toast at the reception, recalling his years of catching Nicole in his arms every day after work. It’s the moments like this that make me cry – and apparently the bridesmaids, too! You can catch their tears in the background during his toast.

This is the sweetest couple who treated us so kindly. Just beautiful hearts, the whole family and all of their friends. It was evident they treat everyone well by the amount of FUN their guests had celebrating the two of them all day long.

My Interview with Nicole, the Beautiful Bride

Leslee: How did you two meet and fall in love?

Nicole: Matt and I met freshman year of high school, however, we didn’t really become friends until our Junior year. After we became friends, we both ended up having crushes on each other with the timing never lining up for us. Once we left for college, the timing finally aligned where we both realized we wanted to be more than friends. As you heard in my dad’s toast, I loved Matt as a best friend before I ever loved him as more. The rest is history. We dated all of college and got engaged over Fourth of July weekend on a backpacking trip with friends.

Leslee: What did you love about your wedding venue, The Bardot, and your design elements?

Nicole: I love simplicity. So when we toured the Bardot, from the first step in the venue I knew it would be where we had our reception. I fell in love with the chandeliers, the speakeasy vibe of the cocktail hour space, and the white brick walls made the space feel bright and open. It was such a stunning space that I knew I didn’t need to do much to it and it would be beautiful. I always wanted my wedding to be simple, classic, and timeless – and I feel this space allowed that vision to come to life.

Leslee: What are your favorite memories of your wedding day?

Matt (the groom): The private moments Nicole and I shared together – on the rooftop and our last private dance. It was great to just have it be us for a few minutes throughout the day. Also seeing Nicole walking down the aisle was definitely one of the best, along with my Uncle’s homily.

Nicole: I also agree that the private moments Matt and I were able to share together are some of my favorite memories. We intentionally made time throughout the whole day to see each other, we got coffee together first thing in the morning, had our first look, danced on the rooftop together, and had a private last dance. All of those things really gave us time to slow down and truly be present with one another. An obvious highlight was getting to marry Matt and being married by his Uncle was very special. Lastly, I would say our first dance was a very special memory I will always cherish.

Leslee: What would you say to couples who aren’t sure about videography?

Nicole: A wedding video is one of the few tangible things you really get to take away from your wedding. It allows you the opportunity to rewatch the best day of your lives together, remember those feelings, and relive special moments with each other, family, and friends. And most importantly, you get to listen back to all the speeches, see your loved one’s reactions, and feel those emotions all over again. I have always loved watching wedding videos, but there is something truly special about the way Leslee can tell a story through videography. She captured our day so well and told our story so perfectly. A wedding video really holds priceless memories that we now can cherish for the rest of our lives. Do the video, you will be so thankful that you did!

“She helped me throughout the entire engagement, even when I had questions that didn't have to do with videography! I worried about NOTHING my wedding day because she spent time laying out the day and made sure it was flawless, making sure I felt confident in everything! Most importantly, I felt like I came out of the engagement and wedding day with a new friend. If "infinite stars" was a choice, I would choose it - but I guess I'll settle with 5!!!”

"Not only is Leslee a joy to work with, she is extremely professional, and one of the kindest people I know!"

"I've got nothing but compliments on the video, and I have nothing but compliments about her professionalism and kindness! She is the absolute sweetest person you will ever meet, and constantly strives to make your day perfect and meet your needs. I SO HIGHLY recommend Leslee for your videographer!”

"After one "get to know you" phone call, we were already good friends and I knew she'd do a great job!"

"On my wedding day, I was worried it may be awkward having someone I don't know in the room while I was getting ready, but it was the complete opposite of that. She fit right in and was actually a really calming presence to have around. When we got our video, I watched it immediately over and over again and couldn't stop crying. It was so beautifully put together. We got SO many compliments on it. My brother didn't even cry when his own children were born and he teared up watching our wedding video!! That's how good Leslee is!”

"I don't even have the words to say how amazing Leslee is!"

- jessica

“She is insanely talented and was able to create a film that highlighted all of our favorite moments throughout the day and included all of our favorite people. I am so grateful that we chose Leslee as our videographer, and I couldn't recommend her enough. She has such a warm and calming presence and was so so sweet to work with.”

"After seeing our film and working with Leslee it was truly like she had known us for years"
